Arrow Dart Club Opening In The Crossroads Is “Not Your Grandpa’s Darts”

by Tyler Shane

Kansas City is about to welcome a new kind of sports bar.

Arrow Dart Club, an entertainment venue with a high-tech approach to pub darts, is set to open in the Crossroads this fall.

“[Kansas City’s] got everything from pickleball to arcade bars to pool halls but no one has filled the gap for casual, friendly, pub darts,” says Jessica Teliczan, Public Relations Specialist at 916 Hospitality, the restaurant group behind local favorites like Cosmo Burger, Dodson’s, and Goat & Rabbit.

Filling that pub darts void is exactly what Arrow Dart Club plans to do in its Crossroads space (1817 Locust St., KCMO). Having sat empty for years, the building is undergoing a full renovation, Teliczan says. In addition to darts, the club will feature a lounge with big-screen TVs and an upscale wine bar, the Sunken Cork.

“Arrow Dart Club made a space where all sorts of sports fans can gather, play and spectate, whether it be a work group playing a round of high-tech darts, a girl’s night out at Sunken Cork, or just a bunch of friends here to watch the big games on the big screens,” says Teliczan.

Arrow Dart Club‘s high-tech approach includes state-of-the-art dart lanes, digital scoring and real-time leaderboards. The club is not just for dart aficionados, however, no darts expertise is required. Arrow Dart Club is meant to be accessible for both casual and competitive players.

“The emphasis is on casual, friendly competition, not your grandpa’s darts,” Teliczan says.

Mari Matsumoto, known for her cocktail menus at Goat & Rabbit and the diner-inspired drinks at Cosmo XR, will helm Arrow Dart Club’s bar program, which includes cocktails, buckets of beer and an extensive wine list.

The venue is serving elevated bar fare, with shareable snacks and small bites. Kara Anderson, formerly of Crossroads Hotel XR and The Restaurant at 1900, will serve as the club’s general manager.

Opening details and hours have yet to be announced. Follow @arrowdartclub on Instagram for sneak peeks and construction updates.
