Croissants and cigars
From a Parisian bakery to a cigar shop, the new Village Plaza in Overland Park is beginning to fill its retail space.
The new 10,000-square-foot building at 159th Street and Metcalf Avenue in south Overland Park, will have three tenants, according to the leasing agents.
- Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe will open in late 2024 or early 2025. The French-inspired bakery cafe offers hot and cold drinks, pastries; a variety of breads from a croissant loaf to multi-grain; sandwiches such as the turkey mozzarella panino, and caprese baguette; wraps; and salads such as a chicken bacon ranch. Cakes include the green tea roll cake, and cheesecake. It also has seasonal specials, which currently include a lemon citrus layer cake. A different franchisee is opening a location by Oak Park Mall.
- Liquor ‘N’ Cigars, a new local retailer, is taking the south corner of the building.
- Glo Tanning & Day Spa is taking a middle space.
Charles Gasser and Larry Prato of Realty One Group Commercial represented the landlord. The tenants could not be reached for comment.
