Pumpkins and Pines
Pleasant Hill, Missouri
Specializing in options and extras, Pumpkins and Pines has been family owned and operated for over thirty-six years. The Pleasant Hills farm grows Scotch, Red, Austrian, and White pines for you to saw down, as well as stocking pre-cut Fraser fir, Douglas fir and Concolor fir Christmas Trees. Additionally, Pumpkins and Pines will shake, bale, and mount your purchase for free. While you are there, take a free hay ride or wander through their wood-stove warmed Christmas Store with a free cup of cocoa.
Fulk’s Tree Farm
Platte City, Missouri
The Fulk family has been farming in Missouri for six generations. In 1987, current owner Dennis Fulk planted his first Scotch Pine seedling, starting the process of turning their land into a tree farm. Now, Fulk’s Tree Farm grows White pines as well and offer pre-cut Douglas, Frazier and Balsam fir trees. Onsite, the Red Barn Store offers everything you need to get your tree up and decorated as well as fresh garlands and wreaths.
Fort Osage Farm & White Pine Lodge
East Independence, Missouri
Winning in the picturesque category, Fort Osage Farm & White Pine Lodge is a destination spot for holiday family photos in addition to uncut and pre-cut trees. The Luke family has been growing trees for the season for over 21 years. Available to cut are White Pine, Norway Spruce, Red Pine, Austrian White Pine, Loblolly Pitch Pine, Ponderosa Pine or Cypress priced $13 per foot. The farm also has available pre-cut Fraser, Canaan and Korean Firs. The lodge is stocked with cozy amenities like cocoa, cider and candy canes.
Bierman’s Christmas Tree Farm

Bierman’s has Scotch, Austrian, and White Pines up to 10′ tall for you to choose and cut as well as pre-cut White Pines, Scotch Pines, Frasier Firs, Balsam Firs and Canaan Firs. Enjoy their heated barn, sleigh rides, picture opportunities and, of course, hot chocolate.
Wilderson Christmas Tree Farm
Basehor, Kansas
If you are looking to avoid the ubiquitous sleigh rides and hot chocolates, Wilderson Christmas Tree Farm is the no-frills, easy interaction choice. So popular that there was a shortage of trees last year, this year Wilderson claims to have stocked twice as many trees. Bring a saw or borrow one of theirs, and choose your own from White Pine, Virginia Pine, Fraser Fir, Scotch Pine, Austrian Pine or Balsam Fir.

Christmas Ranch is celebrating their 33rd season with fields of Scotch Pine, White Pine and Canaan Firs waiting to be cut. They are also stocking beautiful fresh Fraser Fir, Douglas Fir and Concolor Fir from Michigan. Help yourself to complimentary coffee, cider, cookies and hot chocolate while your tree is being prepared where scenes from the 2020 Lifetime movie My Sweet Holiday were filmed.

Lenexa
HessAcres opens the Saturday after Thanksgiving in Lenexa. They offer flare-rate trees which they will cut and net if you don’t want to do it yourself. Check their Facebook for updates and instructions as getting there can be a little tricky. Also, after the second week of December they suggest you call first to check on stock.
Evening Star Pines
Eudora, Kansas
Evening Star Pines in Eudora offers Scotch Pine, White Pine and Spruce for choose-and-cut. They also have pre-cut Fraser firs from Michigan available for sale. They usually sell out quickly so get there soon to enjoy jams, jellies, fresh wreaths and, you guessed it, complimentary hot chocolate. Cash and check only, no credit card payment available.
Reindeer Lane
Trimble, Missouri
Just minutes north of the downtown metro area, Reindeer Lane is only open for the three days following Thanksgiving. They will shake, drill, bail and tie your tree to your vehicle free of additional charge while you enjoy complimentary popcorn and hot chocolate. Specializing in Eastern White Pine and Canaan Fir, Reindeer Lane packs a lot into the three days they are open this season. Photos with Santa are available and in the wood-stove warmed sales barn wreaths, stands, pecan candies, and other related items are for sale.
Grass Pad
Locations in Olathe, Kansas City, Bonner Springs, Lee’s Summit, Stilwell
Of course, if you just need a tree that has already been cut and is ready to take home without all the related holiday fanfare, Grass Pad has five locations in the area. Also, by buying a pre-cut Oregon Noble or Northern Fraser Fir from Grass Pad, you are still supporting local small businesses and independent American farmers. It is an easy, win-win solution.
